The Brand of the stud was enrolled in the
Military Stud book in 1800, on behalf of Andres Bravo in Jerez de los
Caballeros. Later the brand was inherited by Ildelfonso Bravo Romero and his descendants, in the 1960s, his grandson, Ignacio Bravo Martinez, expanded it with the acquisition of the stud of D Florencio Caceres, with origins from the Military Stud of Moratalla and the stallion Tabernero III of the Brothers Baones. Tabernero III was the son of the stallion Furioso with origins of the Bocado Brand. For a long time these specimens were selected to manage the wild cattle, practise Doma Vaquera, Bullfighting and Working- Equitation. From Tabernero III blood-lines descended the famous stallions: Cartucho IV, Camaron, Astronauta, Atila, Apolo, Mio, These horses were selected for the management of wild cattle, High School, Bullfighting and Working-Equitation; they were brave, noble and fast with an extraordinary physical and mental balance. In 1986 we sold one of our mares to the Stud of Señorio de Barain and she gave birth to the famous Binguero who we repurchased at weaning as a yearling because he was the son of Navarro V, son of Albero II who became the role model for movement selected by the judges of morphological competitions and had great successes in International Driving competitions. Binguero was tested successfully in Dressage, Show-Jumping, Driving, Working-Equitation and Morphological Competitions. Today the selection criteria for our horses is that they have an unique aptitude for Riding and Dressage, with strong joints and articulations, excellent conformation, wonderful movement, and nobility. |

They have a great talent to learn and express themselves, elevation and
extension in their movements with quality in the suspension and in all three
paces, as evidenced by the large number of individuals in Grand Prix and
International competition. They have much morphological beauty, enjoy people’s company and show the characteristic movements of the breed. These horses are long-lived and it is very normal for mares to exceed thirty years with health and fertility. Consequently, they are late developers and keep growing until age seven. Don Ignacio Bravo’s Son, Ignacio Bravo Garcia was born in 1962 and has been with the horses from the age of three years old and started from then to learn the trade from his father. He started his professional life in the Equestrian world at the end of his studies in 1979. At Present he is a top rider and active trainer, with the passion to continue to learn and persevere in the study of the horse’s mind and the practise of true horsemanship. In the same year he took over from his Father as a professional breeder and the running of his stud he also became a professional rider also learning the art of saddlery with the master Don Julio Sanchez Barriga Villalon. |
